Job Responsibilities

• Help find innovative tech solutions to every new feature that is identified as a bottle neck or a pain point of the various stakeholders in an interior design project.
• Help plan, architect and build scalable databases, software and server systems using the wide range of technologies available in the market.
• Implement various testing systems to ensure stability of every feature being built.
• Continuously develop and enhance various processes related to development such as deployment, automated testing, code maintenance, etc.
• Guide and nurture younger developers with technological know how and industry best practices.
• Research, evaluate and recommend newer technologies available that could potentially enhance the product offerings.
• Help in building and nurturing a great team and work culture.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Good hands on knowledge with LAMP stack and Laravel framework
• Good knowledge of SQL using MySql Database
• Experience with writing optimized code and sql queries
• Fair knowledge of MVC concepts
• In-depth understanding of core PHP concepts.
• Hands on approach to OOP in PHP.
• Use the best developer tools - IDE, Version Control, Deployment, Monitoring etc.
• Understand web stack and tools - Web servers, Scripting languages, Database, Indexed search, Cloud Server architecture, API based backends, Mobile Push notifications, Chat servers . . . etc  
• Participate in and be open to code reviews.

Tech skills :

Languages : PHP, Core Javascript

Frameworks : Laravel, Codeigniter

Web servers : Apache, nGinx

Database : MySql, Postgres, mongoDB

Indexed search engines : SOLR, Elasticsearch

Caching : Redis, Memcached, Elasticache . . . etc

• Experience of the full s/w development lifecycle: requirements gathering, 
  functional specification authoring, development, testing and development
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Understanding of Complete architecture and Stack.
• Experience of object oriented programming / modular programming
• Good understanding of Javascript Design Patterns
• Experience in source versioning (e.g. Git)
• Experience:  3 years of experience in writing software on the PHP/MySQL stack.
• Education : BE from IIT/NIT/BITS preferred
